I am proud and delighted to be the Guide for our Racing Tour to Hong Kong. This year will be the 15th Hong Kong International Tour I have escorted in succession and what a wonderful journey it has been with many amazing friendships and fond memories formed along the way.
Our action packed Hong Kong itinerary is the ultimate tour for horse racing enthusiasts. Exciting night racing at Happy Valley kicks off our tour where our guests will be treated to generous hospitality, a magnificent international buffet, and drinks throughout the evening as we cheer on the races which decide the International Jockeys Challenge from a prime location within the Happy Valley Grandstand.
Breakfast at Trackwork followed by the Hong Kong International Barrier Draw is a popular morning we spend at Shatin Racecourse where we can mingle with so many of racing's famous jockeys, trainers, owners and administrators. .
The highlight of our tour of course is the Hong Kong International Raceday which we enjoy from our prime location within the Shatin Grandstand. Once again, a magnificent international buffet and drinks throughout the day compliment an amazing day of International Racing where four Group 1 events will be decided.
Our stay in Hong Kong includes 7 nights of luxurious accommodation at the Langham Hotel, Peking Road. A full buffet breakfast is included daily which allows you to choose from a wide range of traditional Chinese dishes and international options. Our location is brilliant for shopping, eating out or quickly boarding a ferry to Hong Kong Island. Tsim Tsa Tsui is a fascinating and central area of Hong Kong which has an abundance of department stores, specialty shops, restaurants and bars all within a convenient five minute walk.
We will have the convenience of a charter vehicle which will take use swiftly to our various engagements.
I am delighted to once again be joined by our incredibly popular local guide Mr David Leung. His sharp wit and quirky sense of humor endears him to all. For nearly a decade, David has been our local tour guide, translator and a great friend. David who is known for his frequent use of the catch cry "okkaaaay" is a big reason why our tour group comprises each year of a high percentage of repeat visitors.
Fascinating sightseeing by day is complimented by the camaraderie of our many lunches and dinners together. This year we will return to the Peninsular Hotel for a delicious lunch at their restaurant called Verandah. Our gala dinner will take place at Stable, a classy steakhouse within the magnificent 1881 Building.
Our Tours are noted for their friendliness. Over the years, firm and lasting friendships have been formed within our tour groups. David and I will make everyone feel extremely welcome whether travelling alone or with a partner or friends.
